David Willson is an acclaimed artistic designer whose work on television has earned him three Leo Awards, the British Columbia film and television award that celebrates excellence in artistic achievements. Willson began his career in 1978 as a construction coordinator for the TV movie "Strange Companions." He went on to work on a string of productions in this capacity. In 1987, he took on the mantel of art director for the first time on the cult horror classic "The Stepfather." Two years later he earned his first production designer credit on the made-for-TV movie "Top of the Hill." He went on to balance work as a construction coordinator, production designer, and art director throughout the '90s. In 1996, he took on the role of associate producer on the science fiction adventure series "The Sentinel." In 2002, Willson joined the crew of "Smallville" as a production designer; three years later he became a producer for the long-running superhero series. His work on "Smallville" has earned Willson three Leo Awards. After the show wrapped, Willson moved on to the action series "Human Target," on which he serves as production designer.
